Dr Tan is a Senior Consultant Surgeon specialising in General Surgery with special interest in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery. He has 20 years of clinical experience in the public healthcare sector. Prior to leaving public service, he held the post of Director of HPB Service in CGH for 9 years. Dr Tan is skilled in General Surgery, and his expertise is in the sub-specialty of HPB Surgery (encompassing Liver, Pancreas and Gallbladder conditions)
Dr Tan is firmly committed to giving his best for every patient. With meticulous attention to details and refined surgical skills, he will tailor the best treatment strategy for each individual and guide his patients towards recovery.

Gallbladder and bile duct surgery
Dr Tan is experienced in performing laparoscopic surgery for conditions of the gallbladder and bile duct. He is also trained in ERCP, an endoscopic procedure for removing bile duct stones and relieving bile duct blockage.
